Our client, a growing consulting organization serving the F500 space, is seeking qualified individuals to fill the full-time role of Account Consultant in their Willow Grove, PA office or Chicago, IL office. The primary duty will be to develop and manage their company’s Temporary Staffing sales pipeline and bench of resources. This role will also include business development in other practice areas (managed services, business process outsourcing, etc.).


Build a 1099/Contractor Network or Database

  • On an ongoing basis, conduct research and networking to understand the ‘marketplace’ for procurement, strategic sourcing, and supply management talent (hiring trends, talent gaps, emerging categories or specialties, salaries, etc.)
  • Create, maintain, and revise descriptions/postings for a variety of jobs (according to your understanding of the marketplace) to solicit candidate resumes
  • Collect resumes and screen qualified candidates to confirm their intent to act as a 1099, availability schedule, subject matter expertise, ability to travel, and generally ensure their eligibility as a candidate
  • Develop a structure to house and maintain all resumes according to appropriate criteria (location, years of experience, category knowledge, industry knowledge, etc.) using available technologies
  • Develop relationships with potential business partners to expand the firms reach/access to resources

Manage all prospect inquiries related to temporary staffing

  • Be the first and primary point of contact as calls/emails come in
  • Gather detailed information about specific inbound opportunities
  • Evaluate each opportunity for job specifications, budget, urgency, etc. to determine the type of opportunity
  • Identify potentially qualified candidates in the assembled database or through additional search
  • Coordinate interviews for candidates, the firm, and Client
  • Follow up and communicate with the appropriate team members throughout sales process
  • Ensure prospective company remains engaged throughout sales process

Manage outbound marketing/sales to hiring companies

  • Conduct research using a variety of resources, including company websites, job boards, referrals, networking, social networking and cold calling in order to identify target opportunities
  • Create and execute a consistent communication or touch plan for developing client relationships on a scheduled basis and maintain a record of all communications
  • Plan and create daily qualified call plans to connect with potential clients
  • Create and use marketing and voicemail scripts and track their effectiveness
  • Prepare and send emails to prospective clients as an introduction and as a follow up to your marketing calls

Develop sales collateral

  • Utilizing knowledge gained from performing other duties listed above as well as additional research, develop blogs, white papers, and other documents to demonstrate the firms thought leadership in Procurement
  • Temp Staffing and attract additional leads


  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Strong research skills, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as function in a team
  • Strong computer skills, including the entire suite of Microsoft Office
  • Comfort in a telephonic sales environment and experience in cold calling
  • Prior experience in either Human Resources or Recruiting a plus
  • Prior experience in Procurement, Sourcing, or Supply Management a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree a plus
