KEY PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:

  • Responsible for providing and maintaining healthy communication between the company and its suppliers.
  • Ensure strategy and suppliers for new products meet quality, delivery, and cost requirements; assist in the development of new suppliers where necessary.
  • Design commodity strategy and implement an action plan, which includes reducing supply chain complexity, risk mitigation and supplier rationalization.
  • Lead supplier negotiations for long-term supply agreements that cover quality, delivery, cost and innovation commitments.
  • Manage small team of buyers to support company and group objectives.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business.
  • 8+ years’ related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience within the Sourcing, Procurement and Supplier Management areas, as well knowledge of all purchasing functions.
  • Strong leadership and teambuilding capabilities with the ability to operate independently, affect change across functions, and track record of delivered results.
  • Exceptional negotiation, written and verbal communication/presentation skills.
  • Highly effective project management skills including complete understanding of business process, with great attention to detail.
