KEY PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:

  • Obtain all relevant preliminary information to procure parts, materials, equipment, and services necessary for each new product introduction.
  • Ensure strategy and suppliers for new products meet quality, delivery, and cost requirements; assist in the development of new suppliers where necessary.
  • Collaborate with commodity managers on overall sourcing strategies, both globally and regionally, to create long-term supplier agreements and ensure suppliers for new products align with the team’s strategies.
  • Estimate costs of new items and purchased parts costs for development of project financials
  • Act as primary interface for supply chain/procurement with the new product teams and in communication to suppliers.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business, engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years’ related technical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years’ experience with new product introductions, project toll-gates, and timelines for project implementation within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership and teambuilding capabilities with the ability to operate independently, affect change across functions, and track record of delivered results.
  • Exceptional negotiation, written and verbal communication/presentation skills.
  • Highly effective project management skills including complete understanding of business process, with great attention to detail.
